Who we are and what we do.
Owner and Master Butcher Ian Shaw has over 30 years of hands‑on experience across nearly every facet of the butchering industry with 20 years as the previous owner of Ellis Butchers, McLaren Vale. We take great pride in our craft and hold a deep respect for the care and hard work that goes into farming your animals. We specialise in cutting and packing whole carcasses for convenient home storage and have extensive experience preparing meat for resale, whether through online stores or at market stalls. We are fully accredited with PIRSA. We generally prefer to use TPL Meats at Tea Tree Gully (they deliver to us weekly) for all red meat processing, but we can also work with local processors such as Kangarilla when required. There is a weekly livestock truck from Mount Compass to TPL Meats, so please call me to discuss arrangements before booking any livestock.
